5th Companion: Hermana Soliz (from Santa Cruz Bolivia)
4th area: Sucre
We just need to Receive a little Rain & Wind to be able to see the Blessings that are all Around us!
Hola Familia y Amigos,
So I just want to say thankyou for the amazing skype call we had last night!!! It was sooo good seeing all of you and you all look sooo good!!
I also appreciate all of the prayers in my behalf, I have not only felt them, but seriously needed them! Thank you!
My new companion and I got to Sucre this morning at about 10:15 and were just exhausted haha The altitude is definitely affecting me already and that hasn't been too fun but I'm sure I'll get used to it really soon. (Cochabamba is 8500 ft above sea level/ Sucre is 9500- umm my home in Salt Lake is 4200 ft.)
So my comp, Hna Soliz and I have definitely been having fun together. We are both a little relieved to be together and be able to talk about a few of the hard things we've had to go through this past change. haha We have been able to relate really well and just have fun. So I think the Lord just really wants us to learn to look at everything bad that happens and just enjoy the moment haha. We have been talking and laughing about everything this morning that has helped us get closer as companions haha. So here's a good list of some things that have happened since last night..
-Internet wasn't working to use skype until super late at night on Sunday night (10pm where I was- we are suppose to by home by 9pm)
-A Dog peed on me yesterday while trying to figure out the internet to Skype
-My only pants and raincoat got stolen out of the car last night while we were skyping with my family
-Herman Soliz's suitcase she loaned to her comp got stolen out of the car too.
-Our phone died in Cochabamba and we didn't have a charger
-Hna Soliz's small bag ripped and broke in many places this morning on our way out the door to the airport
Well I think that's about it... hopefully haha we have been enjoying seeing everything that has happened and have just been looking for the posivite in it all. Looks like I'll have to search for a new raincoat and some new pants here in Sucre which will be fun though ;) Right?! Right!!! Can you say SHOPPING! yes! (not--- my mom knows how much I hate shopping, I always leave that to Jenni and Mom)
Haha so it's just been a fun and interesting adventure this past week and I'm sure there is much more yet to come. The lesson I've learned out of it all is that sometimes we just need to recieve a little rain and wind to be able to see the blessings that are all around us. I am so thankful for all the many trials I have faced lately and I don't wish that any of them hadn't happened. I have been able to feel my savior's love through the people who have helped me out and my companion who is always by my side. I know that the trials aren't over but I will be looking for all the positives and lessons that the Lord wants me to learn. Each and every trial that passes in your lives is for something. Take a minute to just dance in the rain and really learn the lesson that the Lord is trying to teach. He is there and he IS listening. He has not left us here to suffer alone. In fact, he already did that for us. So trust him. He WILL help you as long as you search for his hand in your lives.
I want to say how much I love and appreciate each and every one of the poeple in my life. Thank you for all the support and love I've received while being here in the mission and throughout my whole life so far. Take care everyone and don't forget to search for the blessings in your lives!!
Love,
Hermana Forsey
