Hola Familia y Amigos,
Sounds like you all just had an amazing time in Cali this past week! I'm so glad that your convention went great Chris & Dad! Did you say hi to Minny and Mickey for me? I mean you were right there...so did you go? ;) Mom, thank you for ALL the pictures!! Holy cow all the little girls are getting sooo big! I'm just glad you all enjoyed yourselves and all got home safely :) .... Sorry Brandon. that didn't quite pertain to you. BUT I'm gald you're being successful and are busy with school and work!! ;)
Another week passed by here in Bolivia! We've been getting to know the ward more and all the members of course ask us how much time we have in the mission.. Before I didn't think much of it but now when they ask us, I say a little over 10 months and my comp says a little over 3 weeks.. Wow. that's a little more perspective. How fast the time flies and how fast the time will fly by these next 7 or 8 months and it scares me a little!
Today we went up to the Cristo statue but this time in a taxi haha. I have learned my lesson once and for always how badly it hurts to walk for a week afterwards if we hike up and down. So that was fun and relaxing :) I'll send some good pics from that.
This past week we got to know one of the elder's old investigators and had a few lessons with him. We started over from the beginning because he said he didn't quite understand with the elders for some reason but we are actually planning his baptism for this week!! Haha talk about surprise! ;)
Marcelo is supposed to be baptized this week too but we are still not certain due to a little conflict. But we know that very soon he will be baptized! We have been preparing him and he is sooo ready to accept and make this covenant with the Lord. He has shared many little experiences that he has had with his coworkers and how he has helped them realize the power of prayer. It's soo amazing to be able to teach and help someone and then hear about them teaching and helping others.
This gospel is such an amazing blessing in our lives that we NEED to take advantage of. Serving and helping others really is the key to happiness. Every single hard moment here in the mission is relieved by service and visiting someone.
I know that I am here for the right reason and that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the ONLY true and restored gospel of Christ on this earth. I'm thankful for my parents and for my family who have been so strong in the church and have always been there to help and support me with the trials I have had in life.
I'm thankful for the atonement of Jesus Christ and for the chance we have to repent every single day. We are all on this earth for a specific reason and that is to become what the Lord wants us to become and be able to live with Him again.
I love you all and I wish an amazing week for everything this week!
Take care and always remember who you are!
Love,
Hermana Forsey
