Hola Familia y Amigos!
First of all, thank you so much everyone for the emails! I know I say that every week but it really is so fun and comforting to hear from everyone back home. Although, I wonder how my brothers are doing.. hmm... haha.
So mom, a sister in our ward here who we had lunch with a couple times, tried messaging Chris and Spencer on facebook and she said they never replied, so she sent you one too... yesterday. Just check your messages if you haven't already and Chris can translate for you. She is a really awesome Sister and I'm sure you wouldn't mind chatting with her with Chris's help ;)
Right now, I am back with Hermana Huarachi. But Hermana Lee and I had lots of fun and had some really great visits with less actives and a GOLDEN, GOLDEN investigator that I think I talked about last week, but she is amazing and is 17 years old. She read everything we asked her to and pretty much taught us about the Plan of Salvation. She was also the one always saying "When are we getting together, when are we getting together?!" It's so cool to see how the Lord has prepared certain people and is preparing now the people we are going to be teaching. I'm looking forward to hearing about her baptism!
Hermana Lee's pensionista was so sweet to me and was like a mom to me pretty quickly. We made a few treats with her and she loved getting the new recipes. She and her family also taught me some Quechua (a langauge that a lot of the older, natives speak) So it's been fun learning both Spanish and Quechua because we have an investigator who speaks both and I'm sure she will be happy when I can speak to her a little in Quechua ;)
So our investigor Cesar got baptized last Saturday! We switched back to our companions Saturday and I was able to be there for the baptism :) It was so cool being able to see the change in him and see him be confirmed yesterday. I didn't get the greatest pic at the baptism..but at least you can see us a bit.
We had two rainy days for the first time since I've been here! So that was new and nice change.
I have been catching on a lot more to the Spanish this past week and I have learned quite a lot so I'm pretty darn excited for when I can speak fluently! But... I've still got a bit of time until that point (lol) with time and help from the Lord, I know I will be able to speak perfect Spanish ;)
Today for Pday our zone went to this really awesome place up on the mountain. We had a BBQ and walked up to a really pretty area where you could see the whole city! It was so amazing.
I am doing great and I'm excited to see what the Lord has prepared for us this week! Thank you all so much for everything! I love you all so much and I'm so thankful for all the love and support I have from home. Take care everyone!! Check out all the pictures from my week by CLICKING HERE.
