Hola Family y Amigos,
Looks like labor day breakfast treated you all great! I totally forgot that there even was a labor day.. haha That's what you get for being in Bolivia for over a year.
It's kinda crazy that Jenni is already coming home in 2 weeks! I'm having a hard time believing that.. But when she get's home, try not to forget about your other child/sister that's coming home soon! ;) haha jk but seriously..
This past week we had two exchanges with sisters. I went to Villa Moscu (where I was with Hna Lee a year ago for a week) with Hna Smith, But the area actually got divided, so I got to know a little more about the other parts of the area. We had a great time together and had to avoid the groups of men and boys outside just to stay safe, considering that we are both very American haha. But we had a great time together and I learned a lot from her and how she works.
I was also with Hna Boyle in her area, Las Cuadras, where I lived for a month when I was in Universidad before I went to Sucre... it really makes you feel old in the mission when you've lived almost everywhere haha. Hna Boyle is fairly new to the mission just completing 5 months. She is also a great missionary and it was a great time trying to speak English and also having contests of who can say a prayer in pure English.. haha I ALMOST did it! ;)
I was actaully with Hna Boyle on my birthday. I didn't want to tell her anything to make her feel like she had to do something for me.. haha But the beans spilled when my comp, Hna Barzola called from Sucre and the missionaries, friends and my pensionista all sang happy birthday to me... haha Hna Boyles was about to hit me. ;) How nice of them to remember me on my birthday.
We changed back before dinner and Hna Leidy, my pensionista and the elders helped in making a little cake for me. They decided to be nice to me and not smash my face in the cake and put eggs and flour on my head (Bolivian tradition) haha so that was nice of em. Looks like I've escaped from that twice now! Weird thinking that I've already passed two birthdays here in Bolivia. Just another crazy indicator at how fast time is passing by. We are already planning baptismal dates for October!! October? How can it already almost be October. Well, as you can see- I am feeling very old in the mission, with lots o youngins around me.
Well I hope you all have an amazing week this next week and have fun planning for Jenni coming home! Woohoo! MOM, don't get too trunky.. ok? ;)
Love,
Hermana Forsey
