NOTE FROM THE MOM-
We took Kimmi to the airport yesterday morning as she left for her mission. She left at 10am with 5 other missionaries- all going to different missions, but heading to the Peru MTC (excepting 1). Thanks to my sister who works for Jet Blue, Phil and I were able to walk and stay with Kimmi till her departure (a tender mercy for sure!) After an hour lay over, she left for Peru from Atlanta at 5 PM and landed in Peru at midnight.
Kimberli called as soon as she arrived in Peru! Yay! She shared the following:
While on the flight to Atlanta, she had a long discussion with the man seated next to her about the church. She said he was very kind to her and it was the longest conversation she had EVER had about the gospel ...till that point.
During her flight to Peru, she sat next to a 40 year old woman who discussed the gospel with her for the entire flight. They ended with exchanging emails, great friends and also Kimmi sharing a Book of Mormon with her (well of course! ha ha)- but not before Kimmi got the ladies promise to read the BoM and then to share her feelings with Kimmi. Kimmi was SO excited to have these experiences. I think she is ready to share the gospel of Jesus Christ- don't you?!
She is now at the Peru MTC and I know that she will is exhausted and hopefully will get a great nights sleep.
The best way to write Kimmi is through email: [email protected]
They say that the Peruvian mail system is not very good. Letters can take about 3 - 4 weeks to reach her (she will only be there for 6 weeks):
Sister Kimberli Paige Forsey
Bolivia Cochabamba Mission
Peru Missionary Training Center
Centro de Capacitacion Missional
Av. Melgarejo 159, Urb. Campo
Verde, La Molina, Lima 12
PERU
Thank you to you ALL for your support, love and prayers! A HUGE THANK YOU to those that 'took care' of me yesterday. What would I do without YOU!!!! (by the way, I am much better today! ha ha)
Attached are some pictures of her leaving.
Love you all,
Terri
