THANKS TO ALL FOR AN AMAZING CHRISTMAS!
Hola Familia y Amigos,
All I can say is thank you sooo very much everyone for the wonderful Christmas wishes and surprises! I had an amazing Christmas and I hope that you all did too!
Mom thank you for everything. You are AMAZING. Also I'm so glad everything turned out great for Christmas :)
I'm still looking out for the Fed Ex package but I'm not too worried about it :) Also did you ever receive the few things from Hermana Lee's mom for the little girls for Christmas? Hermana Lee told me like a week ago that her mom was going to give you it that day. Just let me know :)
It was sooo fun being able to talk to everyone and see the little girls. That was one of the greatest presents I've ever gotten for Christmas and I am so very thankful to my Heavenly Father who has given me all of you guys as my family :)
Haha Michone thank you for the recording of Halli's song! So Cute and tell her she's a great song maker upper ;)
Every year, our ward here has a Christmas breakfast where the primary kids re-inact Christ's birth. So that was pretty cute being able to see that and be there with the ward. Our pensionista made our meals super cute and nice for Christmas eve which was so sweet.
This Christmas was surely super different than any Christmas I've ever had but it was amazing. It has been a blessing to be here in my mission and celebrate the real meaning of Christmas which often times we tend to forget. May we always remember that Christmas is about giving and not about receiving. BUT whenever we give to others and serve with all our heart, we ALWAYS receive more back than we even need. :)
This past Thursday, we went to the temple with Hermana Aguirre's converts for their first time! We went a couple weeks ago with the younger daughter but her sister and mom weren't able to go, so we got to go again with all three of them! So that was a super cool experience and to be a part of that.
So Saturday while we were eating lunch with Hermano Pedro, who's in the bishopric ,said that he forgot to tell me that I had to give a 7 minute talk in Sacrament meeting about setting goals .. Haha sound familiar? ;) Anyway. we went over to the church to get ready for Carlos's baptism and when we got there, the elder's of the other ward already had everything ready because they had a baptism too, so I was like sweet I can hurry and prepare my talk while we are waiting. So I got that all done which was nice...(the baptism also went super well :) ) Then yesterday, we got to church and the Cochabamba temple Pres., President Jensen and his wife showed up for our sacrament.. So I lucked out and only had to share my testimony.. again. haha but it was good practice for me and I learned some good things about setting goals :)
This week we didn't have much progress with our investigators, which is a bummer but we are still working hard and looking forward to helping them progress more.
Spiritual thought for this week:
In Enos 1:27, Enos talks about how he is going to pass away soon but how he is looking forward to be welcomed by the Lord and to be at rest. What a blessing it will be to be able to be welcomed in Christ's arms and to feel accomplished and content with the life we've lived. It is my overall goal in life to be able to live worthy and true to be able to say the same. I want to be received in Heaven with my Redeemer smiling at me, saying "come unto me ye blessed, there is a place prepared for you in the mansion of my father." Wow, I can't even imagine how glorious that moment will be. May we all put this goal in our minds and down on paper. This gospel is the best way to be able to find true happiness in this life and to be able to pass away from this life with a clear, content conscience. We should be prepared every day to meet our Savior. It's much easier taking care of the things we do wrong every day rather than every year or every few years in our lives. This life is short and we must take advantage of what we have every single day and also of the atonement and Christ's death for us EVERY SINGLE DAY. Repentance is a blessing. Yes it is sometimes hard but VALE LA PENA, SIEMPRE!
I love you all soooo very much and I'm thankful for everything the Lord has blessed me with in my life! Take care!
