HAPPY LATE BDAY PAIGERS! CAN'T BELIEVE HOW FAST YOU ARE GROWING UP AND JUST MAKING EVERYONE LAUGH HAHA
So we had another great week here in Sucre. This past Sunday, four of our investigators came to church! Now we are just trying to help them in gettings important answers and we are working on teaching everything they need to know to prepare for baptism. The hardest part is setting appointments because they are so busy with school. But I know that the Lord is a miracle worker so we are just working with patience ;)
Eucebia and Giovana couldn't come to church this last week because there was a car race going on in town and the streets were all blocked off. I'm pretty sure Bolivia is only of the only places in the world that has a race right in the middle of town on the narrow streets haha. It was pretty cool though. We had to cross the street that they were racing on to go to church so they just have cops there and everying regulating and they just blow their whistles and warn everyone when a car is about to pass. It's was pretty crazy but I got some cool pics and videos from that. "only in Bolivia" haha
My comp and I were in charge of the kiosk one afternoon this last week and then yesterday with the elders. When it was just us two doing it, we talked to one guy who was a lawyer. Really nice and accepting too. As he was leaving he was shaking our hands and first to my companion, Chau Hermana,,, then to me, Chauuuu.. Chokita. Haha It was just funny because he was a big guy who seemed very tough.
Changes were last night but looks like I'm gunna finish training mi hijita! We're pretty happy we didn't have changes and we are excited to be able to continue doing what we are doing and working on getting some great baptisms in hopefully soon. Prayers are always great! This last change was only 4 weeks long because president Dyer is leaving in like a week :( so this change is 8 weeks long. Crazy to think I will only have about 4 months left after this change! I really can't understand how fast my mission has passed by so far. This last change, I was one of two in the zone who was going home sooner than anyone else. That's a weird feeling. haha But it helps me want to work even harder these last few months to do wha the lord sent me here to do. :)
I was thinking about how blessed I have been in my life to have the friends and family that I have. I just want to thank each and every one of you who have gone on a mission, who are yet to go and who are on a mission right now. You have all been a great support and example for me in my life. I feel so blessed to be able to say that I have a wonderful family who are all members and who are all doing the best to live the gospel of Jesus Christ. It's one thing to have a testimony, but another to live a testimony. I thank the Lord every day for giving me such wonderful examples of those in my life who live their testimonies. I know that this gospel is the one and only true gospel that contains the Lord's preisthood authority on this earth. I know that Thomas S. Monson is one of the Lord's chosen prophets and that he leads and guides us through holy revelation. If you're ever not sure about these things. Feel free to experiment a bit and ask the Lord himself. He loves each and every one of you and He knows you inside and out. Don't ever doubt his power and ability. When we let doubts in, that's when the enemy gains power over us and leads us away from our Father in Heaven and this wonderful gospel. BECAUSE HE KNOWS THIS GOSPEL IS TRUE TOO.
I love you all and hope you all have an amazing week!!!
