HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAM THE MAN AND BECKS!! I LOVE YOU BOTH AND I HOPE THAT YOU BOTH ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL DAY EATING A LOT OF CAKE AND BLOWING OUT A LOT OF CANDLES... OOPS... OK MAYBE JUST A LITTLE BIT OF CANDLES.. ;)
Well, I'm kinda jealous of the amazing time it looks like you all had down in San Jorge haha But I'm sure glad you all enjoyed your time!! That was so nice of Michone's grandma to offer you her condo again.
This past week here in Sucre my comp and I sure put our feet on the ground and worked. We have really been focusing on including the members in this amazing work. We set a goal to have 12 lessons with members this week.. well, in two days we almost already completed our goal! So we decided to make out goal 20. Well, last night, we had half left to work and we had 17 lessons.. so we ran to a members house and practically had to drag one of the kids out to help us haha so we ran to a few investigators houses and shared with them a short sweet message about the atonement and how Christ suffered for every single pain that we experience in this life and how HE is the only one who knows exacly how we feel and how to comfort us. :) Well, we can definitely say that the Lord has helped us a TON this week to complete. :)
We have been working with a kid named Diego who is progressing amazingly right now! He had been listening to the missionaries ever since February. He never really did the things the missionaries asked of him before. BUt just recently when Hna Fernandes and Hna Gonzales came to the area, he went to church for the first time. The last two weeks he's come to church! He is reading the book of mormon every day and also praying every day. I'm not sure if I already explained last week but we let him chose when he could be ready for baptism and he said one month. So we set the date and we are still going strong with him for the 13th of September. He will be the only one in his family who is a member so we have been trying to help him see what great example he can be for his family and help his mom see the dedication he is putting into the church and into his spritual growth. His mom is Catholic and says that she has to stay Catholic becuase she was raised that way.. So it is our goal to work a little through Diego first for her to see his example and to slowly work into teaching her. Pray that we can start teaching her soon!!
Well, this past week was very rewarding with the work we were able to do. Now our goal is to try and find a lot more new investigators. There aren't a ton of references in this area but we are going to be working on finding a lot more so that we can keep working and having success in this area.
So one thing I can give testimony for this week is that the when we have goals, we need to consult the Lord and ask his help. Then we need to put all our strength in completing our goal and without a doubt, he will do the rest. He will make it possible to complete your goals. Sometimes it may seem impossible, but the Lord doesn't see it that way. Trust in him and never doubt in his power and divine help. I know that He is right here with us in our trials and also our victories. He is our loving father and we are his children. He wants us to grow and progress so we can make it back into his loving arms. :)
Thank you everyone for everything! It is the support and love at home that helps me keep chuggin along here in Bolivia. Take care this week everyone! LOVE YOU ALL!
Love,Hermana Forsey
