THANKSGIVING!? no way!
Hola Familia y Amigos,
HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!
BUT MORE IMPORTANT, HAPPY LATE ANNIVERSARY MOM AND DAD!!!!!! I love you two more than you can even imagine!!
Thanks for all the pictures Mom. And holy cow, are the boys living great or what haha Great work mom on Cam's apartment.. I'm assuming you had part in the great decorating.. ;)
I can't believe that Christmas is already amongst us! I also can't believe that I totally forgot about Thanksgiving being this week! Me AND Hermana Lee forgot haha. We got to Friday and we were like "Thanksgiving is less than a week away!" Haha ;) I hope you all eat well and don't do the fat dog it too much on the couch ;)
Mom I read a little bit of your letter. Thank you so much for always making me feel so loved. I LOVE YOU!!
So we had a great stake conference this week with Elder Christopher Wadel of the Seventy and also President Dyer spoke. The church really is focusing on joining members and missionaries more than ever in the work of salvation. Members have just the same amount of duty as we missionaries have. We are just here to be instruments in the work and to teach the lessons. Every member should keep in account his/her duty in this amazing work. If you really have a testimony of this gospel and we know what we are have to look forward to, you should be running our your door right now to find someone to share the gospel with! haha. NEVER EVER be afraid to share the truth with anyone.
Maggy wasn't able to come to church because of work sadly but we are planning on watching the Joseph Smith movie with here tonight for FHE at Hna Claudia Rivera's house. We're praying that she can come still! We taught Maggy almost everything and she has loved every second of it. She is so awesome and really tries to make the changes she needs to make according to the new things we have been teaching her.
Changes are next week and President told us Saturday night after stake conf. that we have a change! But we have no idea who's going or who's staying... AAH!
We have had a few rainy days this past week which are actually really nice because it's not crazy hot while we're proselying. One day we just finished eating lunch and left the pension to find it sprinkling lightly. We started walking to our appt. with Maggy and the rain started to increase pretty darn quick! Haha pretty soon, we found ourselved running to our appointment and getting there about three minutes later just totally soaked haha. She quickly grabbed a couple jackets to help us stay warm. ;)
We did have a "What About Bob" experience too the other day when we were on the sidewalk and the a car just so kindly passed through a huge puddle and sprayed us pretty good haha.
One fact I have for this week...
-FRUITCAKE IS NOT A JOKE HERE FOR CHRISTMAS haha
So this morning the sister in Cochabamba have clean checks and so we woke up bright and early and cleaned like maniacs!! Haha
Last week for pday was really fun with Pres. and his wife. We went up to Pairumani for lunch and a few games and then we went and visited this huge mansion just about five minutes away from there. I'll send some pics.. We felt like we were in Pride and Prejudice!!
Well, here is my other spiritual thought for the week: ;)
This past week we had intercambios and the sister I was with is awesome! She teaches with so much animation and excitement and it was just fun to see and to learn from her. One thing she told one of our investigators that I really liked was "we could open up the scriptures right now and show you so many scriptures and you would be baptized tomorrow, but you have to find out the truth for yourself by true and honest prayer because that is how you will have the testimony sufficient to last threw out the storms of this life. She compared the "us convincing part" to holding a pencil with a couple fingers and hitting it down with her other hand. And then the "finding out the truth for yourself" to holding the pencil with a tight fist and trying to hit it down with the other hand. It's just like the wise man and the foolish man. If we don't have a deep testimony of this gospel. We won't be able to withstand the strong impacts of the adversary we so often feel. The rock of this church is Christ. Our faith in Him is the first step to getting to live with our loving heavenly parents again. Do you really have faith in Him. Are we using his atonement? He gave his body so that we could live in happiness and peace. Would you be able to do that for someone? Christ and Heavenly Father love us so much that we can't even comprehend the power of that love. Have faith in them. They created this world. They can do ANYTHING. Just have faith.
I love you all and I am always praying for the safety of everyone back home. Take care this week!!!
Love,
Hermana Forsey
