Hola Familia y Amigos,
Well it looks like it was a great week full of family and fun. Mom thank you so much for sending me all the pics!
Here in Sucre, this past week we have been doing a while lot of searching. Our main progressing investigators have been out of town for a week and will be back in another week. So we have been using a lot of our time this week searching for a lot of the members here in our ward, finding that A LOT of them don't even live here anymore because so many are usually students that come and go. So we are making some of those down so it doesn't look like we have sooo many members who are inactive. But we have found a few inactives who we are going to try helping them get back into the grove and find their testimonies again.
Edgar, and his nephew, Isaac came to church again for the second time in about 5 years! So we are pretty excited about that. They definitely have had a light in them this past week. We went to a stake activity this past week with Edgar where the relief society of our ward and a few other wards played Futsal, including both our pensionistas (soccer on pavement) That was pretty exciting! haha Our ward won 5-0! Woohoo! It felt like I was back home in the 3rd ward with the great support and energy there from the ward :)
This past Saturday, a little 8 year old that we have been teaching got baptised which went really well. Her family has just recently activated again so it was a ward baptism but we taught Noelia because she hadn't been going to church before. But it was fun to see all her family there and all the love and support they gave her. (a lot of them aren't active in the church right now)
Well we are going to keep on searching for the members in our ward and find those who really just need to remember a few things about the Lord's love for them and help them remember the sacred covenants they made with Him through baptism. It's so important that we search out those that have fallen away and help build them up again to what they used to be. I know that Satan is working so hard these days to confuse the Lord's children and just make them feel unapreciated or forgotten. WE are the ones to fight against that and rescue our brothers and sisters who perhaps have fallen into this dangerous trap of the adversary. Just like the bad example of Korihor who was so trapped in Satan's workings that he lead many others away from this precious truth. Let us all be like Alma and work to rescue them and put all our hearts in this work of the Lord. I know that the Lord lives and that he loves each and every one of his children. :)
I love you all and hope this next week treats you all very well! Take care everyone!
Love,
Hermana Forsey
