Dear Family and Friends,
It's been another week here of speaking Spanish, messing up, and learning from mistakes. It's tough sometimes but I need to just keep my faith in the Lord each and every day and know that he is always here to help me. Isaiah 41:13. "Just keep remembering that scripture Hermana Forsey"! ;)
Thank you again for all the loving emails and all the support. It's crazy how many things are going on back home and how things are already changing so much. Wow it's going to be pretty weird when I get home in a year and a half.
Happy late 4th of July everyone! The CCM (MTC) here was so sweet to us and made us a huge american 4th of July lunch! It was pretty much Thanksgiving dinner, but it was still a little taste of home with a pinch of Peru in there haha. They decked out the cafeteria with tons of flags, balloons and banners...it was pretty cool. So that was a sweet tender mercy. I just couldn't believe they went to SO much effort in making us try to feel at home! It really touched my heart.
Mom, I did what you said and took a picture of your email so I can read it later (I have so many emails in my box, I just don't have time to read them all...I will answer your email next week). I read some of it though and it sounds like you are all having a blast! Keep it up fam! ;) And about the pictures, the computers here dont have a port thing to put my memory card in so i need to figure something else out sadly. But I will try and do it soon!
So I know some of you know how much I LOVE chocolate covered raisins haha, but there is this chocolate here that tastes exactly like them! Just without the raisins. So that was really awesome to find that out. It sure was a tender mercy for when I just needed some comfort food ;)...the Lord made sure I got it.
Many of you have asked about the weather: The weather here is really nice most days. We've had a lot of dreary overcast days but also plenty beautiful sunny days. Sunday's are always sunny! :) It doesn't get too cold here but it can get a bit nippy at night. We make sure to take advantage of our sunny days though! It's nice to get out every day and work out when it's nice weather and sometimes bring our books out and practice our Spanish as we work out.
This past week I've learned a lot more I think, but it's still a struggle. Oh and my Maestra, Hermana Loayza says hi to everyone! ;) She is so sweet and I think I mentioned her last week. But she is actually a student at BYU-I as well! Right now she is taking online classes and she is planning on going to Rexburg in a near for next fall so that will be awesome, maybe we will hook up when I get back there! One of the other teachers here, Hermano Ibarra is planning on going to Utah this December to work and maybe live with his old mission president, so I told him that he might have to go over and have dinner with the fam while he's there. (wink wink- mom, he would be fine with paper plates! ha ha)
One of our investigators is going to church this week and wants to get baptised! As long as she feels ready. We just promised that she will be and it was a good lesson. (Our teacher, Hermana Loayza plays her), her name is Carla and her boyfriend is a member so that has made it easier :)
This past Sunday we had some great meetings. One thing that I loved that one of the speakers said is that the greatest sacrifice that we can give to the Lord is ourselves. If we forget ourselves in service, He will be right there by our side helping through everything we need help in. We had a fireside that night and my district sang A Child's Prayer and that was awesome and very spiritual. Hermana Loayza made us sing it for her earlier after we practiced in front of her because she loved it so much. It was kinda hard getting through, because the words are so very tender.
Aunt Kris, thank you so much for the email! Sorry I don't have time to repy!! It's so fun to hear of everything that's going on there! I hope I'm not missin' out on too much!!
Brooke, you are always in my prayers and I hope you are doing well! love you!! I will surely be prayin' for you this week!!!! Especially on Friday!!! Hang in there cous'! Lance..TAKE CARE OF HER!!!!

Love,
Hermana Forsey
