Hola Familia y Amigos,
First of all, sorry I didn't email yesterday or pday! Yesterday morning I wasn't feeling too great because think I ate something bad Sunday night but I ended up spending pday in my bed. But much needed rest and a blessing from my zone leaders has done me good and I'm feeling a ton better today! ;)
Mom, I only read a tiny bit of your letter so sorry if I don't reply to everything but I'll be sure to read it tonight. And Dad, yes I am taking my vitamin C pills so no need to worry about that.. Except who knows what got me yesterday.. Grandpa, Thanks for worrying about me! ;) Oh and Brandon, nice beard....
Michone, Mom and Chris, thank you soooo much for all the videos and pictures! They are always a highlight of my week! Love you guys!
Michone, you'll be proud to know that I have a bit more of a backbone like you ;) Haha when we take taxi's, I'm pretty good at getting a low price.. although the taxi drivers are never really happy.. But it's their choice to agree on taking us! Haha
So two nights ago right before I got sick was a pretty interesting night haha. First off, we have wars with the mosquitos almost every night before bed which can get a little interesting. haha Man, those mosquitos are really good at hiding until the right moment when I'm sleeping and then they attack! They really like to hang out right above my bed. It's always MY bed for some reason! So anyway, after we killed the mosquito we were searching for for a while I went into the bathroom and what do I see? A nice big cockroach! Yeah that was an adventure haha I just hope we didn't wake up the members who sleep right above us... ;)
Ok so this week went pretty good with investigators. We taught a new investigator for the first time who is so ready to receive this gospel! She told us a ton about her needs and her problems and she is very receptive to our teachings. We have an appointment with her tomorrow in the morning so we're excited to teach her more and help her understand this gospel more. I can really see her being baptised to pray for her!
We contacted a lady the other day that was really sure that she didn't want to change and listen to our message.. As my companion was speaking to her I noticed that her shirt had a quote on it and on the bottom it said Elder Jeffrey R. Holland.. Haha that was pretty interesting. Yeah, she didn't want to change her religion or listen to us so that's too bad but maybe it's just not her time.
So I mentioned before that we were working with the Castro family and their son Gustavo is a member of about 2 years and he is the one who returned from his mission after about 3 weeks. We haven't met to teach his parents for a little while but we decided to visit their son Gustavo just to threngthen him a bit and at the end of the lesson he asked us if he could receive the missionary lessons again. We were more than happy to agree to giving him the lessons again! We have had two great lessons with him this past week and he has some good questions for us. We are happy to help him understand more about the gospel and help him out a bit. Our ultimate goal is that he can get back out on a mission and help change the lives of many others. So if teaching him the missionary lessons again is what we need to do to help him out then that's what we're gunna do! ;)
Ok so here are a few more facts for all yall ;)
-The birds... if there's a bird on a wire, don't stand under it. They love to have someone for target practice.
-If the juice is running low, no worries, just put more water in it.
-If your dog has an abnormally large open wound, just spray paint him, it works great to keep the bugs away...
Haha ok now for the spiritual message ;)
I have learned a lot this week and am so very greatful to be in this amazing gospel.
As we share our testimonies, we can always know that the spirit is present when we learn from something that we say. Testimonies are so powerful and we can take advantage of that power every day with the people we come in contact with. Don't be afraid to share your testimony!!
Also, sometimes we have storms in our lives and the adversary loves to work on us. But when we have testimonies like rocks. We will never lose to the adversary. It is stronger than ever in this time and we need to prepare spiritually to be able to survive it's power. Just like Food storage, we need to have spritual power stored up so we can survive those trying storms in our lives. I know without a doubt that this gospel is true and that we have a loving Heavenly Father who is always listening. Speak to Him.
Thanks for everything everyone. You all have no idea how greatful I am to have so much support and love. Take care everyone and make sure to be happy every day so that the Spirit can guide you in the things you need to do. Love you all!!
Love,
Hermana Forsey
p.s. Mom, thanks for the picture of Astin! Haha I've missed my little buddy!
